Never mind, jumped the gun a bit. Completley turning the phone off and on
again has corrected the problem :)

Hi All,
Wondering if anyones had luck loading maps with Android. I've tried putting
the XCM file in the XCSoarData directory (contains registry.prf, startup.log
etc) but xcsoar is not showing any maps in config. Wasnt sure to submit a
ticket, as i might just be putting the XCM file in the wrong pl
Hi Turbo,
I really appreciate the map improvement! Every work on our web page is a
real multiplier for xcsoar.
Thanks,
Helmut
BTW.: Could you -- place that big fat button for all download items, not
only for the maps?
-- remove the broken links to the old map file generator?

This does look good!
That said, I was grateful for the generator, as it let me produce maps and
everything I needed for my region (western and central Pennsylvania - not

Thanks for dealing with this team,
Thanks for creating the the attribution entries Tobias. I have done a quick
assessment of the data, and we are, as you have indicated done the right
things. These are clearly based on OSM data, which can be taken for derived
works, but must then keep that lic
Good morning team,
However I can't promise that it works, as Scott Penrose is the only one with
access to that server.
If we are talking about the old server, then there was quite a long list
(including you Tobias) who had access. But I am going to shut that down anyway,
it has been a pain,
Hi Tobias
Let me start by saying "HORRAHHH !!!" :-)
Thanks heaps.
I can finally shut down the old server. (Which I will be doing today...)

As I already wrote in my forum in reply to Max, I don't want to loose time and
create problems so I'll drop this discussion.

As Max stated already on your bware.it forum, it is not possible to
copyright geographical coordinates. Do you want us to rename the maps!?

Hi Robert
Thanks for all the suggestions.
1) The old terrain gen was reported to be broken so we searched for an
intermediate alternative
2) We've found that in the LKM file archive that Paolo maintains and
modified the files to work with XCSoar v6.0
3) I've developed a replacement for the old

Hi Martin
our map files should include both, topology and terrain.
About the config boxes: There is still the possibility to "overwrite"
loading the terrain/topology of the map file if you want to use only
part of the map file.
Which map exactly were you trying and have you tried a different one
Hi Paolo!
As I already mentioned in the last mail "The maps are based on the
LK8000 maps".
I will now comment on each one of you sentences, just so there is
nothing left that is unclear...

Hi,
that is at least much easier!
Being currently working on a new setup I just tried it.
Compared to the map file I got from the map generator a few days ago, I miss
... well ... the map, though. If I use the downloaded map file I see no roads,
inhabited areas or the like, and no terrain as

And then preparing the topology.
Ok, you are not obliged to ask for authorization to use openstreet maps, and
in fact you did not ask for it.
But Templates ?? You copied all templates, copyr
