Xtophe, I tried editing the "range" of roadsmall_line and village_point but
it didn't change the fidelity of the map display. I went to
Openstreetmap.org and checked my soaring area and the smaller roads are
displayed on their map. Is it possible that the roadsmall_line and
village_point files d

Hi Mike
what exactly do you mean by sparse?! We are using most of the data from
the openstreetmap.org project (cities and roads) and some from VMAP0. A
XCM file is basically a zip file which includes most of the data.

the team that has assembled XCSoar. I've flown with earlier versions and have
just loaded 6.0 on an Android platform...it looks great! I'm already plotting
how to mount this 7" best on my small instrument pedestal.

XCSoar 6 has been optimized for extremely large map files (only if
generated by the new map generator), however I didn't have the chance
yet to really test that (the new map generator is very young, and in

Hi
I'm trying to create a map of eastern Australia (which is what I used
for 5.2.x) and the map generator is complaining that the map area is too
large.
Here in Queensland, our potential play area is from SE Qld down into
Victoria (and even South Australia - one way flights obviously). These
