It does not make any difference whether you call it "beta" or "release
candidate". The idea is the same, and names are meaningless.
When we do a
Hi Tibor,
we are doing exactly that. Before we publish a major new version we
release preview, alpha and beta versions before the final release.

Ok, I know it's work and it's boring.
How about release candidates? After finishing a major version (e.g.
6.4) publish it as XCSoar-testing and ask users to test it in their
environment with their devices. If users cooperate they will probably
catch most of the "serious" and "medium" bugs. It shou

Hi Max,
we'll obviously not get the requested crash report, because the post
mortem information is gone by the time the user has capacity to take
care of some bug reports (after the flight).
Please implement automatic collection (and sending) of this
information. http://www.xcsoar.org/trac/ticket

In the meantime, if others have the same problem, let's find out if they are
all the same release. Meanwhile

Unfortunately, Windows Mobile has no usable post-mortem debugging
feature, unlike Android.
Let's hope somebody with the same problem on Android will be able to
provide enough information for us to

During yesterday's xc flight, XCSoar 6.3.1 running on Streak exited

flight. One moment I looked at the screen and saw the Streak home page. I
restarted xcsoar and all was well for the rest of the flight. A fellow
