AFAIK, both your guests are working in HVM mode.
For PV mode you should change some VM settings, at least like below (my

Past weekend (as usual O_o) we have experienced the issue in our XCP 1.6
production pool.
Shared iSCSI storage was shutted down due to misconfigured UPS settings
while XCP servers continued to work.
When storage was returned to working state and reconnected to pool most VM
did not boot with the
Hi, you need at least same space free on the storage repository to create
snapshot. Yes, it painfull but truth.

Hi!
To be honesty - best way for production environment is to use old enough
software version. It's pretty obvious but new software version are not only
newest features but also newest bugs,
And it's may looks not patriotic but every new version of xenserver
contains a lot of very pity bugs.

Hi!
It's very easy - just mount hp-agents-xs ISO image and install every rpm
file manually.
Something like this:
mkdir agent
mount -o loop hp-agents-xs.iso agent
cd agent/
yum localinstall --nogpgcheck hp-agents-xs-config-1.1-2.i386.rpm
compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-138.i386.rpm /
hp-health-9.1.0.42-
Hi!
PP Is nothing special but a bunch of scripts built around vm snapshotting
and exporting xe commands. So it is your own decision how often you will
snapshot and export.
You have to take in consideration few simple things - free place on SR to
store snapshots and load of pool master during expor
Hi, Denis.
Just want to confirm that TrueImage boot ISO image from Acronis backup site

Did you seen XenConvert?
http://www.citrix.com/downloads/xenserver/tools/conversion.html
Result does not so easy to mine under XCP [sometime], but finally you would
use free XenServer as middle tier media for P2V process.

I'm going back to XCP 1.1 until XCP 2.0 is out. It's much easier

AFAIK, You can't install XS61E009 Update on to XCP 1.6. I've already asked
here about the way to implement binary update from Citrix to XCP, but no
luck.
So you just would install lecacy xen-tools (or XS61E010) to your Windows
system to avoid known bugs in some configuration.

Hi all,
There is well known bug in XenServer 6.1 when Windows VMs hang/freeze
during intensive disk operation (presumably due to race condition somewhere
in xentools drivers in multi-vCPU Windows systems).
Best description and discussion of mentioned problem would be found there

Hi!
Thanks, you give me a chance to share my expirience in straggle with poor
NFS performance in XCP 1.6.x
First of all, you just need to check mounting options issued by NFS client
in XEN.
You should see something like
#mount
/dev/sda1 on / type ext3 (rw)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
none on /
15 matches
