Do you have the same issues with xenomai 2.5.6, or even better, xenomai
2.6.0 ?

Hi,
I have an installation of ubuntu 12.04 with xenomai 2.5.5.2. This PC is used to
communicate with a robot over CAN bus. The CAN card installed on the PC is a
dual channel PCI card from PEAK Systems.
I have not been able to use the CAN port at all so far. The device is detected
by the system

Yes, ARM is supported and actively maintained.

You got it right.
Hi
I am trying to use Xenomai after patching 2.6.rc5 onto Linux 2.6.38 kernel
based on ARM based TI OMAP processor and Ubuntu 11.10 OS. After the
Xenomai patched kernel is booted, I tried to install Xenomai using the apt
utility by sudo apt-get install xenomai-runtime. However, when I tried to

Strictly speaking, no. They extend the syscall namespace by interposing
on the linux syscall mechanism, without altering the original table.

If no, why there are some emulators and interfaces for VxWorks, pSOS
and so on inside kernel?

I have installed Xenomai 2.6.0 for Linux-2.6.38.8. There are 3 new
files for vxworks: /usr/xenomai/include/vxworks/syscall.h and
/usr/xenomai/include/vxworks/vxworks.h and
/usr/xenomai/include/vxworks/ppd.h.
Are these header files suffice to use the whole capabilities of
VxWorks operating system?
