Hi
I am trying to read from several DAQ devices (2 National Instruments
6034E for now, 6 analog inputs on each card) at high frequencies
(~10kHz) but my computer often locks up when I want to stop the
acquisition (by calling a4l_snd_cancel and/or a4l_close) but before
that, everything seems to be
Hi,
You may want to disable CONFIG_MAXSMP, some people reported similar
issues with this option enabled.

Hello,
This is very much likely the issue fixed by this patch:

Hello,
In case someone is having similar issues, this problem seems to have
disappeared (latency ran for a whole week without any overrun or high
latencies) after a microcode update :
CONFIG_MICROCODE=y
CONFIG_MICROCODE_INTEL=Y
& on lubuntu :
apt-get install intel-microcode
dmesg now shows
_cond_create -> 0
rt_task_spawn -> 0
rt_cond_wait_until took 22047 ticks, ret -110
rt_task_join-> 0
It should wait 10 seconds, but returns immediately with ETIMEOUT.
