Normally you shouldn't have to do anything special for 2d accel. You just
need to make sure you don't use

Who's to say? Those drivers are built each night from cvs. So if you check bugzilla
( http://bugs.xfree86.org/query.cgi ) for your problem, find it, and it's marked
RESOLVED, and the problem was with the driver, then it could help.

i didn't find video driver for ATI Radeon 9600 Pro for XFree86 for my RedHat
Linux9 desktop.
but video drivers are available for next version like 9700 Pro, not for
9600Pro.
