Hi,
I'am using a Matrox G450 and my onboard Graphic-Controller Intel 82810E

these controllers. Now I have the problem, that one of the two monitors,
which are connected to the Matrox Card shows no picture.

Considering the launch date for Xfree 4.4, I think the S3 Prosavage DDr
driver ( with 3D support ) is not going to be include.
Is this supposition correct ???

Hi,
I'm using a Toshiba Satellite 2595XDVD laptop.
When I run SuperProbe (output below) it sayes to report the unknown
chipset. I've been using this laptop for many years, through many
xfree86 upgrades and probably should have reported this a long time ago.
The only problem I have is switching
I recently started work on tuxnes, an emulator for the old school(8 bit) Nintendo. I
was
wondering how I would get started adding a full screen mode ?DGA? to the emulator.
The size is
"256x240" which means I'm going to have to add a mode line or two. I also might not
stop there as
I can tell
The problem is that the xfree86 driver relies on the video BIOS to
provide the mode information. if the BIOS does not have the mode info
for 1280x800 then you are out of luck. Unfortunately intel has not
provided specs for setting the mode apart from the BIOS.

DRI support for savage or cle266 chips will not be included in 4.4.
there is work on both happening on branches in DRI cvs.

When will Xfree support non-ugly mouse pointers and wide use of the color

Yes, it's true.
If you remove NVIDIA's drivers the
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.a from Mesa will get used
(instead of the libglx.so of NVIDIA). This is all in software,
however, and very slow.
NVIDIA's binary drivers should have worked, however. I think
with some kernels you need to pass "
I don't think you should use DGA. Generally, rendering into shared memory
and doing XShmPutImage is going to be faster. DGA doesn't work very
well with alot of drivers anyhow.
Unfortunately, I think alot of drivers aren't going to be able to

Hello,
I've been having trouble getting the stock XFree86 radeon drivers to work

as long as X is only dealing with one card, but as soo
I am having problems with my RedHat 9 Linux not bringing up Gnome or KDE and was
wondering if there's a known problem with the X Windowing on IBM Thinkpad laptops with
an ATI Rage 128 Mobilty for its video device. If so, what is the fix?

Does Xfree86 4.3.0 support the 1280 x 800 mode that some laptops use as their native resolution?
Thanks

There's no 1280x800 modes built into the server, but you can
provide a custom modeline like:
# 1280x800 @ 60.00 Hz hsync: 49.68 kHz; pclk: 83.46 MHz
Modeline "1280x800" 83.46 1280 1344 1480 1680 800 801 804 828
