I get only a resolution of 1280x1024.
I use Suse-Linux 9.0 with XFree86 Version 4.3.0.1
Configuration tool was sax2 with the following options:
Monitor: LCD [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I'm thinking about buying a SK41G Shuttle which come with a VIA KM266
chipset and a VIA Savage8 Integrated video card, and I've been unable to
find if this card is supported by XFree86. Does anyone have one of this
and were you able to use it ?

My mobo is an ECS L7VMM2 for AMD athlon XP 2000Ghz and
it too has VIA KM266 and VIA savage-3 built in running
at 8mb allocation. Mandrake 9 supports it. I have
tried RedHat 9, sad to say, it failed in RH7 and also
in RH 9. But in Mandrake 9 it does. Go for Mandrake
9.2

I've been trying to figure out how to set one wallpaper per monitor
using xinerama and I ended up disabling it to be able use DISPLAY to set
a different wallpaper on each screen.
Would you happen to know if there's way to do what I did with xinerama
enabled ?

went for fsck and after that i dont know what happened and X suddenly

Xinerama mode? The Xinerama implementation doesn't allow that.
Basically, it advertises one root window, so when a client renders
to the root window it has to get duplicated on all the individual

resolution but the changes don't take. I've installed Fedora 1.0 and
am using a Philips 107B monitor. Any help is appreciated.
