, the XFree86 nv driver does not do 3D acceleration, so I will
have to wait for Nvidia to come out with a proprietary solution for the
2.4.20-8 linux kernel (which comes with RH9.0).

The RedHat upgrade gave me XFree86 4.3.0-2 via the rpm'

moment, so I can't attach my XF86Config-4 file.
Any suggestions? Is there some implication with the

Attached is my log file...I am a newbie to linux...I seem to be having
problems in my configuration settings in XF86Config file. The monitor that
I have is a MAGITRONIC and my video card is a Trident. I seem to be able to
run my box in text mode but fail to run in graphical mode.

When installing Red Hat 8.0, I let it do most of the thinking, and it thought

Doctor,
Thank you very much for the reply. Would you mind giving me the path to that

Hello all,
I'm using X 4.2.1, RedHat 8.0, with an on-board Intel chipset (845 I

I don't have any modelines or anything for this model monitor; probing
the monitor, XFree86 is trying to drive it at 85hz. It recommends 60hz,
