Hi,

I'm running redhat 9.0 on a Dell Inspiron 8000
with an ATI Rage 128 Mobility M4 AGP graphics card,
and an external Dell 2000FP LCD monitor.

When I startx, the external LCD monitor image has two problems:

  1. The image is 1280 x 1024, even though I specified 1400x1050,
     and both the laptop and the external monitor are designed for 1400x1050.
    

  2. The image extends beyond the top of the external monitor,
     and so is truncated at the top.
     None of the monitor controls can fix this.
     When I run with an older CRT monitor, it works fine.

I'm appending my /etc/X11/XF86Config and the X11 log files.
