I've checked both XDarwin.org and xfree86.org (where I got the
installer) I was unable to locate USA.keymapping. Why didn't the
installer take care of this, anyway?

Xdawin used to work on my OSX 10.3.3. It doesn't anymore since I
replaced 4.3 with 4.4 via the installer from XonX (I'd used the same
XonX installer method for 4.3, which worked just fine). At first the
issues was a missing USA.keymapping (see below for details).

Um, is it just me, or is everyone receiving a copy of the email they'd
just set off to the discussion topic? I find it quite bothersome (esp
since the email is impervious to my filters). Can this be stopped, or
