To me, the problem looks not that much APM related anymore, but
I'm not sure. The crashes seldomly happen while I'm actually
using X but frequently occur when I'm changing from X to a
normal console.

Anything I can do to help figure this out? I'm currently using
this version: Debian 4.3.0-0ds3v1 20030310070804
