Hello All,
We bought a brand new PC and installed Red Hat 8.0 on
it. The video card didn't work because there are no
drivers for the on-board Intel 845 video card in the
version of XFree86 shipped with Red Hat 8.0. On
Intel's website it was recomended to download the
latest CVS snapshot of XFree86

I M Murad Ali. I want to develope LFS system. But during BLFS , when I get
Installed XFree86.
With "startx" i get error messages. attached .
Kindly help me as soon as possible.

I have downloaded
XFree86 4.3.0 from your web site and installed it on my linux
platform.
However, during runnibg XFree86 -configure I
received lots of unresolved modules as shown in the attached log
file.
Please
look at the log file and help me to resolve the
problems.

Bummer -- that was perhaps not the brightest move ;)
google for Richard Dawes' explanation of how to get it running. Of course
you have to set up things like xdm/gdm/kdm and gnome/kde yourself,
