I have a similar problem with my Radeon 2500+ 64Mb card and XWindows
configuration on my laptop(You probably mean XWindows conf.problems).Mine
works fine until I try XWindows. Not tried release of Debian yet. Am
working on the problem.

What problem exactly?
Perhaps also you can send your /var/log/XFree86.0.log file to
this list so we know exactly what setup you have.
