I think you got me wrong...
I don't intend to send spam to the list (the tought only is making me
shivering) I've found an articel concerning spam and Direct Marketing
Association's reaction. DMA is 'shouting' for legislative actions, because
they can't earn no more money because of spam hahaha !
Try /etc/log.d/logwatch.conf
And/or man logwatch to see where the config file is.

Hi all.
I've had
Hello all.
Due to my bad English I have some problems to configure Xmail.
Some time ago in www.ordb.org, my server was clasificated as an open relay.
I changed in the server.tab to put:
AllowSmtpVRFY 1
and with this change ordb said it´s OK.
But yesterday someone used my server to send
Question:
Can domains which are defined under custdomains to forward to an SMTP also
have a filter defined?
My situation is that I would like to have xmail not only forward mail to a
domain defined custdomains, but also use something like xscanner to filter
email with certain contents
Sure ! Based on a domain :
In custdomains
domainname.tab
smtprelay[TAB]smtp-IP[CR]
In filters
domainname.tab (my settings)
C:\System\X-Mail\xscanner\xscanner.exe[TAB]C:\System\X-Mail\xscanner[TAB
]@@FILE[TAB]@@FROM[TAB]@@RCPT[CR]
Works perfect... All mail
Thanks!!! it works!!
I just did this, and noticed something odd.. Aside from a message being sent
to the sender that their message was bounced and a message sent to the xmail
postmaster, there also appears to to be two messages (for every one message
sent) that are 'frozen' in the xmail queue.
Check your smail.log smtp.log
Is(Are) the bounce-report(s) actually sent?

I am sending the email from a hotmail account to myself. The hotmail
account gets a message back indicating that it was bounced. The smail log
shows this one line...

I have looked at the email headers and don't see a reason for them to get
stuck in the users outbox, but for some reason if the user says YES to
return receipt notification request, it just sits in the outbox and hangs
the whole client (in terms of sending outgoing msg's).
Anyone else come
Sorry for the re-post, looking at Eudora as a client, I see a temporary file
created like so:
C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1.FMF\LOCALS~1\Temp\rr89E.tmp;
and wonder if this is the issue. I also noticed that the TO address is in
left and right carets, but that is email-legal I believe(?)
Hi -
That just happened to me yesterday - I was testing
my [EMAIL PROTECTED] service and a user sent a
request with a return receipt requested - and it
got stuck as did yours. I thought, at first, it
was a problem with [EMAIL PROTECTED], but maybe not.
Well Davide - what are we missing here?
I have also seen an increase in messages that show return reciept problems.

Do you have AllowNullSender enabled? If not then maybe that is what is
needed.

Sorry for the re-post,
Well I think it's been established that null sender should be enabled.
So change it and see if it makes a difference. If it doesn't then that
has atleast been fixed and other potential sources of the problem can be
looked into.
