no these files are system-wide and are not designed to be user-based. maybe
a self-written filter will

I just checked RFC2822 because I didn't believe you, but it seems you're
correct. However, Pegasus Mail is the only MUA I've ever seen that
didn't use LF chars to terminate lines. I suspect it has to do with
its DOS heritage, where CRLF is a very sticky issue.
