IMOO, reducing to minimum infos these responses will probably increase =
the
number of attacks, as the guy will try any know security holes for all
existing mail servers softwares.

In any case, changing the server greating/helo/ehlo/... contain will =
not
help you in any manners to secure your server :)

The only thinks you have to do about security :
- Use good firewall/ipd/filtering/analysers... hardware/software to =
detect
new intrusion tentatives, block know dos/ddos, ...
- Regulary verify firewalls/ips/ipd/xmail logs to check for suspicious
activities
- Regulary check you servers security configurations for suspicious or
unwanted changes
- Subscribe to any soft/hard manufacturers secury or info lists to get =
last
news
- Subscribe to more general security alerts services on the net to get =
last
infos
- Keep any software and hardware up to date
