I think that 1.25 is included with Debian Testing. Unfortunately I don't know if it's actively being maintained (1.22 had been in there until recently!). Usually it's quite possible to mix packages of stable and testing distributions, you may, however, have to upgrade more packages (libraries)

In the documentation I see there's a "Pop3LogPasswd" option that can be used to disable logging of the POP3 Password. I've tried it in the servers.tab and it hasn't seemed to make a difference. Is there a specific format I'd need to enter it into the config file (right now it's "Pop3LogPasswd" "0"

I did some testing with strace. Running it on CtrlClnt didn't tell me much, so I started XMail in debug through strace. As I understand the result correctly, then XMail forks to handle the CTRL-request. The first files it opens in that fork seem reasonable: ctrl.ipmap.tab, ctrlaccounts.tab, the
