I'm running Xmail on Win2K since version 0.66 (12/2000)
I upgraded once to version 0.73 and recently to version 1.6
Our server is processing a few thousands emails/day (low volumes but enough
to give some feeback on my experience using it...)

I never had any crash or trouble, and all my mails have been smoothly
processed by Xmail for more than 16 months now. So I'm not sure of what
you're expecting of a stable release, but to my experience Xmail is a great
piece of software and probably one of the most stable you will find to
process emails.

Regarding upgrades, nobody imposed you to go through all the versions (even
if Davide says it's better, and he's surely right...) and if you are not
missing any features newly available and as far as no critical security
holes are discovered, you can just upgrade when you want or when you have
the time to do so (as in my case :-))
