Hi,

I have followed all instructions setup on the smailserver.org homepage and setup the
server and it's all running correctly. However, I want the mail from an external pop3
account to be delivered to one of my local mail boxes.

Firstly, I've assumed (and I think it's a correct assumption, correct me if I'm wrong)
that xmail connects to the external account and retrieves the mail from there. I have
set it up to do this according to the documentation. However, here's the problem. The
messages never arrive through my local domain account, but they are not retrievable
from the external pop3 account.

For example, my internal address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] and my external
address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have it set up, according to the xmail
documentation, so that it connects to mail.connect.usq.edu.au with the username
q1121116 and the password, using clear text authentication (external server doesnt
support APOP). It would seem to me that, since I cant get the messages from the
external account when the xmail server is running, but if I resend when the server is
offline I recieve the mail, and that since none of the mail appears to get through to
the local account (which can only be sent to internally on my network but can access
the internet and can send to any address) that the problem is somewhere in the
configuration/xmail server with delivering the external mail to the local account.

Has anybody had this same problem, and can anybody help me out as to how to fix it?

Kind Regards,

Tom Anderson
