To my knowledge, anything grater than -O3 just falls back to -O3. The GCC manual doesn't specify anything grater than -O3, but it also doesn't say what happens if you specify something grater than 3. I've had pretty good luck with gcc-3.0.3 and using the following optimizations: CFLAGS= -O

Yeah, that's what I expected. Marc Reichman mentioned that you can use the xgl driver for XFree4, but unless I'm mistaken, this won't work very well if you have a Voodoo3 because XFree86 4's Voodoo3 driver reverts to software rendering when running xmame.xgl. I suspect it's because of th

With v3 there were many compile errors. It looks like some structure names were change in v3 so there is no chance for it to compile. >-Original Message- >From: Steve Freeland [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] >Sent: Thursday, February 14, 2002 8:27 AM >To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Subject: Re: [Xmame

Yeah, you need to use Glide 2 (libglide2x.so). I doubt Glide 3 would work at all (but I haven't tested it) On Thu, Feb 14, 2002 at 08:23:52AM -0500, Poletti, Don wrote: > > I downloaded xmame 0.58.2 and tried to compile. I think > I have the wrong version of glide-devel installed. I'm u

the XFX target is designed to work with glide2 i believe.. supported for older XFree86 3.3.x targets where the glide2x->mesahack->device3dfx system was in place that used dga to open a fullscreen and put the image there. in mandrake 8.1 you have XFree86 4.x. Just use the xgl target. -marc On 0

I downloaded xmame 0.58.2 and tried to compile. I think I have the wrong version of glide-devel installed. I'm using Mandrake 8.1 and was using v3-cvs. Which sounds dangerous. Should I be using v2? Is there a specific version that definitely works? ___
