I just bought a Matrox Parhelia, I read the reviews and they were wonderful, and I bought it because I thought since the G550 drivers were open sourced Parhelia would probably be in the same boat. There's been a lot of discussion about fullscreen display drivers lately, yet nobody mentionned that something Xmame really lacks is plain fullscreen X11 rendering using XFree86's XVidMode extension. Lawrence & co, have you ever considered implementing this? This should finally allow anyone to

Unfortunatelly DGA really slow down things a lot. I usually set up my X server so as I have a high-resolution display (1024x???) and a low-resolution display (640x480) so when I run xmame in a window, I just switch mode with Ctrl+Alt+- and get the same performance with bigger output. Hope it helps.
