What other things xmms2 do?

Hi there, I'm considering trying to write (jet another) xmm2 client. Reading the things that xmms2 does and doesn't, I didn't see wheter or not it automatically fetches the ID3 tag info of the various audio format files. Does xmms2 fetches that info or I have to lern how to do it? I think that sh
