. I was not able to switch to a text VT,
but that hasn't worked on this box in a long time.
I sshed in from a laptop and restarted X and that fixed it. This
seems new with xserver-xorg-video-radeon 1:6.12.6-1. Haven't had a
chance to try the fixes.

report that a cursor-related leak may be fixed in 1.7.
I run E17 and my theme has customized cursors. I disabled that, and
my X server has been running at 33MiB for almost 24 hours.

too many round-trips. Xt/Motif were nicer in this sense, and hence
their higher performance.
But none of that has much of anything to do with fonts.

mga does. Just watched a few hours of shows on an mga G-series and
mplayer, tearing doesn't exist.
