VA-API does h264 bitstream decoding on the GPU, not XvMC. X
It would be worthwhile looking at the XRecord extension.

This is designed to record all XEvents as well as XRequests. It will
probably do most of what you required. We used it for a Blind/Visually
impaired XTerminal some time back.

Hi,
There is a bug in the current mesa library/drivers that causes the menu's in
the
blender 3D program to be displayed as blank black or white windows:

Is there a special mesa list to discuss and assist with mesa 3D issues
such as this ?

Hi,
Due to the problems I am having with ATI Radeon cards under Fedora 11, I thought
I would try the latest GIT source tree. I am using the standard Fedora *-devel
packages and just trying to build the drivers only. When I try to build
the xf86-video-ati driver I get the error:

One thing that would be nice here, at least for me, would be the support of VLD
MPEG2/H264 decoding through the XvMC interface.
I have been using a Via based system for about 4 years using the Via XvMC VLD
extension that supports almost full hardware MPEG2 decoding. This VLD API is
supported in t
Is there a programs manual available for the Intel G45 X4500HD Graphics
Core ?
I note the site: http://intellinuxgraphics.org has manuals
for the 965 and G43.
I am especially interested in the Hardware MPEG2/H264 Video decode
section.
Are there any plans to support XvMC or VAAPI at the VLD level
