Very odd problem: Only getting an output to my screen, when running xine

Hello, I have a very odd problem with my new TV. I only get an output to it, when runnig xine or vdr-sxfe, which is a xine based frontend to VDR. As soon, as I stop xine, the TV shows "LG, No Signal". I can start nvidia-settings then, but it does not show up. Still I get "LG, No Signal". Only,
