your question a bit;
when you use a scaleable font:
> -monotype-courier new-medium-r-normal--*-120-*-*-m-*-iso10646-1
> -monotype-courier new-medium-r-normal--0-120-0-0-m-0-iso10646-1
you expect a font depending on you DPI
