Hi Peter
Something is not right:
[svu@localhost xkeyboard-config]$ git am ~/Downloads/original_msg.txt
Patch is empty. Was it split wrong?
When you have resolved this problem, run "git am --continue".
If you prefer to skip this patch, run "git am --skip" instead.
To restore the original branch
Thank you Peter! Worked this time! Pushed to git.
Regards
Sergey

Hi Hans
I can push, of course, if the mutual consensus is that now is the right
time for it.

Hi Emil
Historically xkeyboard-config was created as the repository not tightly
bound to xorg (could be used by xfree86 if someone wants).
So it is managed by me separately with 4-month release cycle, not within
xorg.
Hope that explains

Hi Peter
Sergey, is there still reason for doing this? I note the commit dates back
to 2004.
Well, at that point in 2004 something did not work without it, so I
created it. If you're saying that now it is not necessary, I will
disable that feature forever. No problem at all.

Hello Damien,
Actually Alan is right. It is great (and very useful) to have your
patches reviewed by specialists like Peter, Alan and others. But I
would strongly prefer to have them in bugzilla. That makes my
maintainer's life a lot simpler. Hope you understand me and won't feel
offended.
