Trying oprofile I get this with ColorTiling on and and xterm continuously

I guess almost all the time spent in r100_mm_rreg is busywaiting on ring flush

FWIW in urxvt the performance with truetupe fonts is also poor.
Randomly sometimes text is drawn fast and at other times it is slow. Letting
lots of text scroll by always makes text
