Sorry it took so long but I got back with a nasty cold.
I took out ExaScratch from xorg.conf and took screenshots after a fresh boot.
16 bpp still needs to be done, so does any cairo tracing. No recompiles or

16 bpp looks exactly the same, otherwise same configuration. The black bar
changes a bit when you scroll further up/down or alt-tab and alt-tab back, so
the window is redrawn.
