Thanks for the help. But I managed to solve this problem by using
WM_POROTOCOLS.

It's the same. xscreensaver's gears does ~ 700 fps on the same box

Yes, restore to previous size is what I mean by 'minimize'. Sorry for
the misunderstanding, my mistake.

Ok, I have looked at XConfigureEvent and it seems that it contains much
more events than I need (moving, resizing etc.). Basicly, I only need
resizing, so I used an ResizeRequest event.

Well, when minimizing/maximizing, the window doesn't neccesarily
disappear/appear (that's what unmap/map events mean, right?), it usually
just shrinks to a minimum si

Nice one. There's an "optimization" in the wide line code to avoid
drawing joins when one of the two lines will do it. It's busted.
This patch is already in XFree86 CVS.
You mean someone has code doing lines of other than width 0?
I'm amazed Given how ugly X wide lines are.
Doesn't mean it isn't a bug, though

I've stumbled upon a rasterization bug while drawing lines of width 1.
Here is some example code:
#include
XPoint points[] = {
{21, 17},
{24, 14},
{24, 9},
};
int main (int argc, char **argv)
{
Display *d;
Window w;
GC gc;
XGCValues values;
d = XOpenDisplay (NULL);
w = X

What events are generated when minimizing/maximizing a window?
Is there any way to obtain the size to which the window is going to be
set after this event is generated?

If it worked ok with windows, do you know the settings windows was

I had far too much to do in the last days. - I'll do further testing with the

I'll also try to figure out what exactly was updated in the CVS.
In our small SiS hacking eMail conversations I heared nothing about new features
or new success.
More after the testing ...
