We have bought a number of Dells with the OEM RadeonVE card. I can
certainly confirm that they are strange compared to the out-of-box
Radeon VE QY, although the PCI vendor id is identical. Have a look at:

Has anyone been able to start XF86 in a Virtual PC window of Redhat Linux.
The system is crashing with an error about No Devices Detected. This
happens right after it loads the SAVAGE driver for the video and says
"Assigning device section with no busID to primary device."

I'm having a problem with AGP initialaizing. I did modprobe -r
agpgart, depmod -a, and modprobe agpgart to reload the module. That didn't fix the
problem.
Configuration:
Red Hat 7.0
kernel 2.4.9-31
XFree86 4.2.0
Anyone have an idea how I can get the AGP working?

Having heard nothing on my specific problem (I have the Compaq Armada
M700/ATI Mobility that seems to break under XFree 4.2.0 and 4.1.x but only
after docking in the docking station) ... I am going to try to fix this
