The source code on the site is for DRI - nothing to do with the trident_drv.o
at the bottom of the same page.
Just grab the trident_drv.o and pop it in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers.

Xv never worked on the XP because it lacked acceleration. That's still the
case for lacking acceleration, but now the Xv trident code doesn't need
acceleration anymore, so Xv should (?) work on the XP.
As the XP is only implemented in laptops and I've never had access to a
trident laptop it's up

latest CVS code to test Xv support and provide some feedback.
If people can look closely at trident_dac.c for the pTrident->hsync/vsync
