Dear experts, I am trying to get my Tecra 8200 (1400x1050) running with Xfree 4.1.0. Up to now the highest resolution I couuld get was 1280x1024, which does not make use of the whole display area ;-)
So far I think the problem is, that the VESA BIOS reports about a 1280 display although it actually is a 1400. Furthermore the Xserver module "trident" then selects 1280 to be the highest resolution :-( 0. Has anybody the same problem, is it known, is there a solution ? 1. Does anyone know how to tell xfree not to probe for display capablilities instead specifying a certain resolution 2. Is there a bugfix for this problem 3. Are there workarounds ? Your help is highly appreciated. Thx.
