Hello list,

I've run into a problem. I did a new install of debian unstable on a HP
Omnibook 2000mt and whatever I tried I was unable to get X to work properly.
I'm using X4.2 packages from http://people.debian.org/~branden/ ,
XF86Config-4 was generated by debconf so contains no exotic settings.

The following happens:

after booting into X no keyboard or mouse input is possible. However, when
attaching an external keyboard both the laptop's mouse and keyboard, and the
external keyboard work fine. Using the vga driver gives the same result.

Afraid I can't give much specifics about the setup at the moment because the
laptop is with it's rightfull (, unhappy ;) owner. I've used the pc101 and
pc104 keyboard settings, and for the mouse ps/2 and /dev/psaux. I've tried
changing these two to /dev/ttyS0 and Intellimouse and every combination..
same result.

A few specs from google:

Chips and Technologies CT65545 video controller
(I'm using the 'chips' driver)

Integrated PS/2 mouse (J-key style mouse (?))
(PS/2, /dev/psaux)
