The machine is a Packard Bell 233, whose bios says the
video is "DM975." xfree86setup says it's a Trident
3DImage975. Whether I use the 3dimage975 driver or
the vesa driver, the (KDE) colors are all messed up

I have recently updated my Mandrake 8.1 to Mandrake 8.2,kernel 2.4.18.
My video card is a 3DImage975, 4 MBytes of RAM, and with both the XFree
server the current Mandrake distribution is offering (3.3.6 and 4.2.0)
it is impossible to have usable colors on my screen if the setup is different

I can confirm similar problems have been FIXED with the latest driver.
