Xubuntu 16.04 printer indicator shows communication problem with printer
(on wi-fi side of lan here) and shows Idle-waiting for printer.
Printer seems to be working ok but annoying that indicator (although it
works better than 14.04) has errors.

Xubuntu 16.04 64 bit with Intel 946GZ Mesa driver is booting up over the
last couple of weeks with the desktop icon white text left justified.
The black shadow text is right justified. I have not found any theme,
window or tweaks that affect this. All applications I have tried seem to

John I am able to use "FIND" under the "edit" menu of Atril and it works
I have two Xubuntu 18.4 16 bit machines that have lost a Brother network
scanner. Any thoughts on restoring the network connectivity? All print
etc. ok.

Put in latest Brother udev and driver for scanner HL-L2380DW with no
improvement. Copied brother libs from /usr/lib/sane/libsane-brother* to
/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/sane and it works now.

Go to Brother Support and download the .deb print/scan setup file. Works
well for me with 18.04.
