I did this just with the bare minimum, it is about 20 lines of code in
total. I will try to move to the scale interface when it's ready.

For me, there preferred way would be to add the new method (everywhere),
while keeping the old one at least for some time. (I use it in code
which is not in trunk, and it should stay compatible until I update it
everwhere as well).

Does anybody need them? (Sergei?)
I have no idea how to work in paraview with such Vec3 values. I would prefer
to work only with scalar values.
