With Ubuntu 14.04 and MAAS 1.5.1+bzr2269-0ubuntu0.1, if I start a node
without a default route, cloud-init reproducibly hangs. If I give it a
default route, cloud-init works and the node completes the install
process.
While not having a default route is a somewhat uncommon

I'm also seeing the same problem on Folsom from the Ubuntu Cloud
Archive running on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
Instance A can not talk to instance B's floating IP address. Instance
A can talk to instance B's fixed IP address.
I see traffic go from instance A, hit the cloud controller, at which
