I don't think it is possible to support both v0.3 and v1.0 on same code base, 
and I don't think v1.0 has backward compatibility to v0.3. But since v1.0 was 
claimed that can be used in production, I think we should upgrade to that. What 
do you think?

I've done the patch, and tested with [hostpath 
driver|https://github.com/kubernetes-csi/drivers/tree/master/pkg/hostpath], it 
can work fine for pre-provisioned volumes.

However, I was unable to test with [csi-s3 
driver|https://github.com/CTrox/csi-s3], because it is not updated to support 
v1 protocol yet... looks like we are pending on this pull request: 
[https://github.com/CTrox/csi-s3/pull/9.]
