At the Embedded Linux Conference in San Jose, CA USA this past spring, we
had six great demos in the Yocto Project booth. However, only two of those
were demos that we arrived with. Four were from community members who
spontaneously showed up, including a homebuilt audio player (hi nerdboy)

There do seem to be multiple efforts. The Qt on Pi folks are also
putting together a BSP. I'd like to find a way to put everyone
together to make sure effort is not being duplicated. Is there
interest in a meeting of interested parties, perhaps on Thursday?

Hi Chris & all - there is a small group working on a Yocto Project BSP
for the Raspberry Pi, particularly to get Qt working (this is the
QtonPi group to which Brian referred in an earlier message). I can put
you in touch with them if you like.

As I understand it - Poky is sort of a "reference distro" for the Yocto
system. I think Angstrom would be an excellent addition as an alternative,
and I'd be happy to do anything needed on the community side to help.

This sounds fantastic, and I'd love to create a page on the website
reflecting this. Just so I am clear, what exactly is this 100% of? Do we

Hi Bob!
I don't know if anyone has created software for a netbook yet. I have a
Lenovo Ideapad S510 on which I sometimes run MeeGo, and it seems fairly
solid, though it may be out of production now. I have heard that the eee
PCs are fairly easy to hack also.

Yes, that sounds just right for core-image-minimal. It takes a lot of tasks
to build every single package in an entire Linux distribution and assemble
it into an image! I believe core-image-sato takes over 1600. Glad to hear
it completed for you.
