Why do you want to put it into /tmp? That's typically got a tmpfs mounted on it at boot time so anything you put in there at rootfs time won't be visible. If you're goal is a read-write overlay on a read-only rootfs then look at something like overlayfs. Ross On 13 August 2018 at 20:54,
