understood that mariadb was supposed to be an exact drop-in replacement, but

I cloned a brand new poky directory, set up toaster in a virtualenv, etc.
and am stuck with the same error.

Hi!
It maybe is a naive question and I assume it's not possible because I didn't

While creating a toaster project with the Master Yocto branch, build
always fails. But if I select Krogoth or Jethro branch then builds
succeeds. The major problem with sub-branches like Krogoth is that there
few layers supported. Is everyone having similar problem? And do you have
any solution?

Hi Rudolf,
I'm sorry for unpleasant experience you had with this setup.
I confirm that most of the issues you've pointed out exist and I was
able to reproduce them.
Eventually I managed to run Toaster in this configuration. Please, read
my comments below.

I am using yocto version 1.6.2 Daisy branch to build a linux
distribution for the imx6 processor.
I have started the toaster prior to the build and after the build is
done, I have examined the bitbake configuration variables. It looks like
