Alright.. but doesn't this mean zenloadbalancer can not be used on any SMTP
server with anti-spam? (any kind of anti-spam).
As all anti-spams lookup the external send server, spf record.. etc.. (and on
mailbombs, reported servers etc - block the ip for a period of time).
I'm not sure what exactl
Hi Marco, Zen works on sNAT method, if you need a transparent load balancer
the loadbalancer need to be the gw of your mail gateways, and at the moment
this isn't implemented. If it's a problem for INPUT mails, on this case I
recommend you use dns load balancing with priorities, this is the method
Hello,
I came cross another small issue.. but in this case quite importand:
When I use loadbalancer to balance our SMTP the anti-spam actually thinks the
loadbalancer send the email.
Here's the mail headers WITH Loadbalancer:
Received: from col0-omc3-s2.col0.hotmail.com (192.168.0.34) by
MAIL2.
Thank you,
That solves my doubts. ( i just wanted to double check everything as it seemed
a little bit odd ;))
I did run in another issue however I will post that in a new topic
(our anti-spam smtp picks up on the loadbalancer ip instead of the real
originating server who send the mail -.-)

The failover problem I saw was this:
I have 3-4 different farms configured and after a rough period of 24hr the
primary would failover to the secondary(for no apparent reason) but not all the
farms would fail over as when I logged into the secondary I had some farms down
along with their interf
Hi Hatem,
With how many concurrent connections the problem is produced?
Could you send me the /var/log/syslog and /var/log/messages files
compressed and the timestamp when the problem is produced?

Laura.

Hi,
Steve please can you send us the next data to study the problem:
1º ethtool output of all interfaces
2º a screenshot of "Settings::Interfaces"
3º really which interfaces have link?
Also check if other information that ethtool shows is correct, for example
the speed
Maybe could be some prob
Hi Marco,
Active clients are not active connections. Active clients is about the IP
clients "memorized" by the farm when you select support for persistence by
client.
With persistence by client enabled, every time a client start a connection
will be delivered to the same server so the behaviour o
Mine stopped going down when I removed the cluster and ran on the 1 server,
Does it go down when it's configured as a single?

I have the same issue with large loads. The farm goes down nearly once a
day, even after making the fix mentioned. I am running v1 stable and also
use eth0:X virtual interfaces.

I think I may have found my cluster issue in regards to the failover not
working correctly. The throughput issue seems fine now with the additions and
running on a single LB for the last week and a half has proven that the system
works correctly.
What I noticed today is that some of my farms vi

I have my public interface eth0 setup with a public IP and have a default

And this all works including the gui and I can add farms to it.

Hello,
After the last port range request i did decide to actively use Zenloadbalancer
for the services we can at this point.
We got anti-spam gateways filtering Exchange servers.. (clustered but non-load
balanced)
I have put the ZenLoadbalancer in front.. mail flow seems very solid (with a
