Dalit couple burnt alive in AP Sangareddy (AP), May 3: A couple belonging to Dalit community were burnt alive here today for allegedly practising black magic. Pandla Sailu (70) and his wife Pochamma (65) of Olli Timmaipally village were set ablaze by their relatives and some villagers accusing them of practising sorcery, police said. Some incidents, including death of a buffalo of one Pandla Rajaiah and ailment of a girl in their kinship, were attributed to their black magic. Consequently, the couple were tied to a tree in the midst of the village and beaten before they were burnt this morning, Superintendent of Police R B Naik, who visited the scene of the incident, told reporters.
