Andhra Pradesh - Hyderabad New SC commission chief promises fair deal to Dalits Special Correspondent We will fight injustice done to Dalits, says Merugu Nagarjuna HYDERABAD: Merugu Nagarjuna, a professor from Andhra University, assumed charge as Chairman of the State Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes Commission here on Wednesday along with a team of five members, with the promise to make the commission available "wherever Dalits face injustice". Accompanied by several Dalit leaders and large number of admirers, they all garlanded the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi, B. R Ambedkar and Jagjivan Ram before formally occupying their official seats in the commission office near Ajanta Gate of the Exhibition Grounds.
