Tuesday, July 03, 2007 (16:37:39) BH: Woman beheads man to resist rape Patna: In a horrific incident a Dalit woman beheaded a man who tried to rape her in a Bihar village. Prabha Devi, in her 30s, a resident of Vijavara village in Purnea district, about 300 kilometre from Patna, killed Mahesh Lal Harijan on Sunday night, the police said on Tuesday. Police said Prabha Devi was alone at her house on Sunday night when Mahesh, who was her neighbour, tried to rape her. She put up a fight and then beheaded him with a sword. After the incident, she went to the police station with the blood-stained sword and reported about her crime. She has been arrested. (IANS)
