Is there a consensus that seagate barracuda drives are worthwhile, stable,

good thing i asked about the seagates... i always thought they were highly
regarded. I know that everyone has their own opinions, but this is still quite
informative. I've always been partial to seagate and WD, for not other reason
than, thats all i've had :)

From what i can understand (prtconf is gibberish to me :)), the other sys
checks seem to recognize everything else, so seems to be all good with this
board.

I have been doing a bit of reading on the solaris platforms, and seem to be
inclined to try out the open solaris os or solaris 10. My only worry is that my
lack of knowledge with the command line may make this
noticed...
