Hi Eric,

Customer had come back saying.
I've tried this and it doesn't work. It still displays the size as 1 gig after saying it's bringing the lun back online.

Kindly advise.

Thanks

ZFS will detect the expanded LUN when it re-opens the device. There's
currently no way to automatically do this. However, if you do a 'zpool
online <pool> <device>', this will have the side effect of reopening the
device and should pick up the expanded size. If it doesn't, then please
let us know.

Hi Experts,

IHAC who is using solaris 10 06/06 update with KU patch 118833-18 on Sun
Fire T2000.

Its new machine running zfs and zones. Customer have put a HBA into the
machine and have presented disk to the machine.
He have created a zpool from the single lun and it is working fine.

Before he start using zfs in a more day to day role he wants to know
*how to go about growing the lun that the zpool is on*.
The sun box is connected to a HP EVA 8000 that can dynamicly resize the
luns. This works fine under VxVM and customer is looking for similar
ways to do it under zfs.

The goal is to beable to grow the size of a lun via the EVA8000 then
have zfs pick up the change in disk size.

configuration for zfs:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~]# zpool list zfstest
NAME SIZE USED AVAIL CAP HEALTH ALTROOT
zfstest 1008M 372K 1008M 0% ONLINE -
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~]# zpool status zfstest
 pool: zfstest
state: ONLINE
scrub: none requested
config:

       NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
       zfstest ONLINE 0 0 0

A Pointer to a document that describes this proceedure, or instruction
on how to do it would be great.
